YELLOWKNIFE - Management of the Elks Lodge accused a woman of stealing bingo money after catching her on a surveillance tape, police say.
"They had concerns about apparent shortages in funds, and reviewed the tapes," said Dreilich.
She said the tapes showed the woman taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the Lodge's bingo proceeds and putting it into her purse on Feb. 14. A 43-year-old Yellowknife woman was charged with theft under $5,000 on March 6, and is set to appear in court on April 8.
